This is what it sounds like when a father breaks.

Every man reaches a moment where pride can’t hold him up anymore.

Where injustice cuts deeper than words, and everything in you wants to fight, fix it, or burn it all down.

I wrote this song, in that place. As a father, I was torn between vengeance and surrender. And that’s when I heard it—“Humilitas Occidit Superbiam.”

Humility kills pride.

This isn’t weakness. This is what surrender looks like when it’s forged in fire. It’s the kind of surrender that doesn’t make you less of a man—it makes you a better one.

If you’re a man who’s been betrayed, silenced, or pushed to the edge—this song is for you. Let it remind you: God doesn’t rebuild men, and fathers, until they’ve been broken.
